Are you looking for new fabrication services to offer your clients? Or maybe you’re a fabricator already and want to test your skills. Check out The ISA Fabrication Experience™ happening at this year’s ISA International Sign Expo®! Three separate contests, covering a variety of fabrication practices in the sign, graphics and visual communications industry. All contests are open to all, no experience necessary, and a great way to learn or improve your skills and win Cash Prizes!

SignComp’s Revamped Sign Box Challenge

Each heat of four teams, consisting of two participants per team, will assemble one of SignComp’s Flex Face Commercial frames, along with an Architectural cabinet with posts.  In a timed challenge with help from SignComp experts. Teams will be judged on both speed and the quality of the cabinet produced. This challenge is open to all and great for new and experienced fabricators alike. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams!

The competition times are:

  • Wednesday, April 12: 10:30 AM-11:45 AM
  • Thursday, April 13: 10:30 AM-11:45 AM
  • Friday, April 14: 10:30 AM-11:45 AM

ORAFOL Cut Vinyl Challenge

Test your speed against other participants in a timed contest weeding, taping, and applying cut vinyl. Each event will see five participants weed out a vinyl graphic, prep and tape it, and apply it to a surface as quickly as they can. Participants will be judged on speed, quality of the install, and by who misses the least pieces of the graphic while weeding.

The competition times are: 

  • Wednesday, April 12: 12:00 PM-12:45 PM
  • Thursday, April 13: 12:00 PM-12:45 PM
  • Friday, April 14: 12:00 PM-12:45 PM

Steel Art Co. Stud-Mounted Letter Challenge

Each event will see 3 teams of two assemble and install a group of stud-mounted letters provided by Steel Art Co. Participants will receive guidance from a Steel Art Co. employee. Teams will be judged on both speed and the quality of the letter’s assembly & installation. This challenge is open to all, no experience necessary.

The competition times are: 

  • Wednesday, April 12: 2:00 PM-2:45 PM
  • Thursday, April 13: 2:00 PM-2:45 PM
  • Friday, April 14: 2:00 PM-2:45 PM
